Why we recommend it

Hay dumped on the floor gets trampled, soiled and wasted. A hardwood rack holds a day’s hay at eating height, keeps bedding dry, and stands up to chewing better than plastic. Since hay should make up most of a rabbit’s diet, easy clean access genuinely matters.

What to look for

• Hardwood that tolerates constant nibbling.
• A width sized to hold large flakes without jamming.
• A cage-side mount that keeps hay dry and reachable.

Setup notes

Refill twice daily so hay is always fresh, and position the rack away from the litter corner. Sand any rough edges and replace it when the wood wears thin.
