J-Feeder (Galvanized)

Rabbit feeding on fresh greens

A mount-outside J-feeder is the single biggest time-saver in a cage system, and it dramatically cuts wasted pellets.

Why we recommend it

Because it mounts on the outside of the cage, you portion feed without opening the door or disturbing the rabbit. The galvanized body resists chewing and rust, and a sifting flap lets fines fall through so rabbits eat whole pellets rather than dusty crumbs.

What to look for

  • A capacity that matches a full daily ration for your rabbits.
  • A smooth, rolled lip so rabbits can’t catch their mouths.
  • A sifting bottom to drop fines and reduce waste.

Setup notes

J-feeders handle pellets, not hay — pair one with a hay rack. Wipe it out weekly and check that the mount stays secure.

Educational husbandry guidance, not veterinary advice.
